Nice, July 21, 2033. Bookseller and philosopher David Goldberg discovers a 17th-century book claiming that proof of God's existence lies in the wreck of a Templar ship. He decides to go in search of it.

 

His quest takes him from the Vatican archives to the Sphinx of Egypt, and through the depths of the Mediterranean. A life-changing discovery will lead him to the knowledge of God and the afterlife, and help him understand the meaning of his destiny : to participate in the return of Jesus Christ to Earth on December 25, 2033.

 

But when he demands world peace from humanity, the churches divide, nations falter, and a race against the apocalypse begins. In the secrecy of the Vatican, Cardinal Falcone ensures that nothing changes.

 

In the heart of the chaos, David becomes both the actor and the privileged witness of a cosmic shift : that of a doomed world and another ready to be reborn.
